Childhood and Cinema: Notes on a Relationship Between Visual Machinery and Identity Representations

The article reflects about the role of cinema machine in the construction of childhood identity. Besides discussing some theoretical issues about visual language, it offers two inquiry lines through wich the authors show the performative character of cinematographic image in childhood production: the use of cinematographic cameras in psychological investigation of childhood and analysis of some tropes about childhood from contemporary Chilean cinema
