Abstract
This study explores the social and material processes involved in organizing time when developing policies and clinical practice. From the analysis of material produced during a case study focused on ethnographies and interviews on the health system in Chile, specifically of the Explicit Health Guarantees regime, we consider how the articulation between social activities and objects composes the temporal dimension in health. We analyze this by specifically considering the role of indexes and statistics in their biopolitical dimension and the local role of contingent and regular dispositions in clinical activity. We conclude with some implications on integrating a sociomaterial approach to the apprehension of time in health. © 2024, Universidade de Sao Paulo. Museu de Zoologia. All rights reserved.
