Abstract
Human resource (HR) analytics includes methods and applications to examine employee-related data and build effective people management processes. The development of HR analytics is a strategic capability for organizations in the current scenario of major disruptions, highlighting the importance of resilience to react to critical situations effectively. Whereas unprecedented challenges contribute to generating job insecurity, the complex socio-technical scenario will increasingly require organizations to put HR at the centre of their transformation processes. In this chapter, we review interdisciplinary literature on HRM and organizational psychology and present a framework of HR analytics to support transformation scenarios. We advance research on HR-related intelligence and the adoption of technology and managerial innovation to enhance employee well-being while reducing job insecurity. Regarding practitioner development, we provide an integrative framework to support HR managers aiming to build effective HR-centred organizations while addressing potentially negative issues associated with job insecurity. © 2024 Edward Elgar Publishing.
